European Summer...from morning to evening wear.

European Summer...from morning to evening wear.

As summer vacation approaches the excitement about that European summer is getting closer...and here it comes the dreaded question every woman asks when the time comes to pack. What do I wear?

As an over-packer traveling back home to Europe I would tell you...less is more.

I am slowly learning that half of my suitcase comes back home clean...wrinkly and unworn. How to avoid bringing more than I need weighs in my mind as I throw in my suitcase the "just in case" items of clothing and shoes.

I think the shoe issue is settled...flats, sneakers, and maybe a wedge. That's it, stop there! No heels and nothing that can be slippery to avoid a visit to the emergency room; no worries, policemen, firefighters, and doctors are very approachable without having to break an ankle.

It doesn't matter what your plans are while in Europe, you will find yourself spending a great deal of time out of your hotel sightseeing, having hours long lunches that turn into fun dinners and drinks. If you like going back and forth to your hotel to do several wardrobe changes, more power to you! If you are like me and do not want to miss any of the fun...then going back to the hotel is not an option.

In Spain (where I am from), things are a little be more relaxed in terms of dressing moving to a more casual look. Still you will find the locals will get dressed every time they go out for any occasion. You'll notice people around you will look put-together even if it is to have a drink with friends in the town square.

Since I want to blend with the locals, these are my go to dresses when traveling abroad.

Our Billy dress is sleeveless with printed floral motifs and embroidered in the front. Cut at the waist and cut-out style opening in the back. This is dress is the perfect combination of fresh, comfortable and fun. Made of cotton will help you navigate the hotter weather while sightseeing and exploring. Flats or wedges pair perfectly with it. Don't forget to accessorize to elevate the look for the evening look with a pair of statement earrings and a belt.

Another option is our Cale dress. This dress is made of cream-colored cotton with contrasting black embroidery. Square neckline and ruffled straps. Cut at the waist and ruffled skirt. Back neckline and multi-position bow closure. This dress will attract attention in the best way...breeze, fun, and so comfortable. Flats, wedges,...do you have room in your suitcase for a pair of cowboy boots? Perfect!

Our Blanca set is a must have...wear it together or separately! Combine the top with a maxi skirt or pants; the skirt with a body or any other top. Both pieces are made of maroon cotton with contrasting ethnic style embroidery in pink. Gathered waist top with elastic and maxi ruffles on the shoulders. Skirt with high waist and matching waistband, front embroidery and maxi ruffle at the hem. Again, we are adding a pair of cute sandals or wedges and we are ready to look classy and comfortable discovering new cities.
